Adventure and Lighthouse hotel on the edge of the open sea

Little island Lighthouse – Litløy fyr was de-manned in 2003. Three years
later Ellen Marie (Elena) Hansteensen bought the lighthouse and its quarters
from the Norwegian Coastal Administration.

The light at Little island Lighthouse is still running, and Ellen Marie is the
only private person in Norway owning a lighthouse which is not closed down.
She bought this place because she has a plan to establish a lighthouse
hotel here, in the open sea. A distinct place for peace, adventure and recreation.
